PCOS self-screen
See if your symptoms fit the PCOS pattern.
Screening tool only. A real PCOS diagnosis requires a clinician, cycle history, and labs. Your answers stay on your device.
Why PCOS gets missed
PCOS affects roughly 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, but diagnosis is often delayed by years. Irregular cycles get dismissed as normal; androgen signs get treated as cosmetic; fertility challenges get attributed elsewhere. The goal of this screen is to help you recognise the pattern sooner.
What diagnosis actually involves
Clinicians use the Rotterdam criteria : two of three of (a) irregular or absent cycles, (b) clinical or biochemical signs of high androgens, (c) polycystic-appearing ovaries on ultrasound. Other conditions that can mimic PCOS — like thyroid issues — are ruled out first.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have PCOS with regular cycles?
Yes, though less commonly. You can still meet the Rotterdam criteria through androgen signs and imaging. That's why a clinician-led workup matters.
Is PCOS curable?
PCOS is a condition you manage rather than cure, but management can be excellent. For most people, a combination of targeted lifestyle changes and — when needed — medication brings cycles, skin, and metabolism back into a far more comfortable range.
